Border Collie.
Benji is one of the top dogs in training at the CFA. He is expertly handled by his owner, Andrew Byne, who continues to work this dog in a sensitive and professional manner. Benji has rock solid stays and will hold just about anything - no matter what the distractions are. Benji is also an Obedience Dog and an Agility Dog.
Benji, a classically marked Border Collie, crossed-over from traditional style training to Clicker Training in November 1999 and graduated from the Discoverers Course in January 2000. Benji was back at school for the June 2000 course when gained his Gold Clicker, and returned to the November 2000 Course to continue his training.
A stunningly bright dog with enormous potential, Benji obtained both his Bronze Clicker (15 behaviours) and his Silver Clicker (25 behaviours) in the January 2000 term.
We are delighted that Benji's obtained "Martini" status.
Carolyn's Comments (July 2000 School Shoot):
Another lovely combination. Benji has rock solid stays and works very well and confidently on set. It would improve BenjiÌs eyeline to the camera if Andrew got back to the photographer after setting Benji up. This is a really nice dog with a very sensitive handler.
