Border Collie X

Magic graduated from the November 99 Masters Course having obtained both Bronze and Silver Clicker Awards in one term.  She then graduated from the Professionals Course in January 2000 having completed her Gold Clicker award.  During the June 2000 course Magic became the first CFA dog to obtain her Ruby Clicker (75 behaviours).  She went on to become the first dog to obtain her Sapphire Clicker in November 2000 (100 behaviours).

A fabulous little dog with rock solid stays and a good hold (she's the only dog to have completed the 5 minute hold exercise).

We always expected that Magic could do well, but she has exceeded all expectations. She has now completed all four courses and obtained "Martini Dog" status by the end of the November 99 term.  Her stays are now rock solid in the Down, Sit, Stand, Wave and Bow.

She speaks on command, targets, closes doors, rings bells, jumps through hoops, rolls over, begs and does distance control.

She won the "Most Professional Handler and Dog Combination" award in the October 1999 photo shoot which was judged by the Deputy Editor of Dogs Today Magazine.

Philippa (Magic's handler) handled two of her other dogs on the "Bomb Diggy" shoot for the rising rock band Another Level in September 1999.

This is a dynamite combination and well worth looking at in more detail.

Carolyn's Comments (July 2000 School Shoot):

Both dog and handler very happy and relaxed on set. Phillipa is handling very well ? with good awareness of her dog, the set and the photographer. Magic showed an excellent hold of a very heavy prop.

Try to get a close mouth cue.
