Katie's professional canine career spans over 20 years. In-between juggling film-work and instructing at the CFA, Katie studied Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling at Southampton Universtity having completed the Canine Human Interface Course in 1993 under John Fisher, gaining a Disctinction Pass. During the period 1991 to 1998 she attended six Volhard Instructor Camps in the USA and attended her second Holistic Camp in Virginia, USA in January 2002. She instructed the Volhard Motivational Method for eight years before switching to Clicker Training in 1997. In 1999 she attended Gail Fisher's "Advanced Clicker Training Workshop" (All Dog's Gym) in New Hampshire, USA. Katie successfully competed in Obedience with Bryndle and Chess. Sadly both Chess and Bryndle passed away aged 13 3/4 and 14 1/2 respectively. David, Katie's Jack Russell Terrier, retired from working in Television, Commercials and Stills Photography aged 9 1/2 and has just had his 11th Birthday. Katie's "family" now comprises Flossy Flo, an apricot standard poodle her Labradoodle daughter, Hermione and George, a welsh collie. In addition to the dogs, Katie also owns four cats; Harry was a somewhat reluctant star at one of the Dogs Today Shoots, Wotsit his mother and two unrelated moggies - Rachel and Charessa.
