Sheila is a lifelong owner of dogs and other companion
animals (cats, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc:). Having
graduated from Guy's Hospital in London as a registered nurse, she spent
six years working in the pharmaceutical industry followed by twenty
one years of professional medical counselling in conjunction with raising
a family, running her own dog training school and counselling those
with pet behaviour problems. She breeds English Working Springer Spaniels,
has also shown in breed for the past twenty years, (Beagles, Hamilton
Stovares and Flat Coated Retrievers) and worked in agility and field
trials. She currently owns two working English Springer Spaniels, a
Flat Coated Retriever and a cat who thinks it is a dog (!). She also
home boards for those not wishing to put their dogs into kennels. She has studied human psychology through the Open University,
has completed both a post graduate Diploma in Advanced Studies and an
MSc, in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling, at The University of
Southampton. She is a member of ASAB ( Association for the Study of
Animal Behaviour) and CABSTG (Companion Animal Behaviour Study Group)
