Chained Behaviour - If you have a dog that both retrieves and knows how to close a door, wouldn't it be nice to be able to train him to retrieve an object from outside the room, walk back in with the object and shut the door behind him? - This is a Chained Behaviour

Operant Conditioning - Upon presentation of a stimulus, the dog can choose to offer a response which results in a consequence. Those responses resulting in either a pleasant response or the avoidance of an unpleasant outcome are more likely to result in the dog repeating the same response upon the next presentation of the stimulus.
